Student Dress and Appearance Rule Notice-
 
These rules and regulations apply to students during school hours and during participation in and after school activities/functions. 
 
DRESS AND APPEARANCE-
Students have the responsibility to keep themselves, their clothes, and their hair clean during school hours and when participating in school events.  Students' clothing shall not offend the accepted sense of decency of the community or adversely affect the good order and discipliine of the school as determined by the Principal or Assistant Principal.  Dress styles considered inapproriate for students of the Conneaut School District shall include:
 
  • shorts, skirts, or dresses shorter than fingertip length when arms are extended at the sides.  Fingertip length may still be inapprorpirate based on Principal determination.
  • tank tops, halter tops, or tops which expose the midriff, chest area and/or back - all tops must cover the entire shoulder;
  • pants, shorts, or skirts worn with the waistband below the top of the hipbones;
  • clothing that displays in words or pictures which advocates or encourages the use of or otherwise promotes alcohool, drugs, tobacco, or promiscuity or conduct of a sexual nature;
  • hats, bandanas, and headgear of all sorts -- exceptions will be for medical purposes and special pre-planned spirit days;
  • clothing of any sort that is revealing;
  • long wallet chains or other types of chains on clothing;
 
All clothing must not have rips, holes or tears, on the upper thigh or posterior so that no skin or under garment(s) are exposed.   These rules and regulations apply to students during school hours and during participation in after school activities/functions.  Students not adhering to this dress code will face further disciplinary action.
