The Conneaut School Board of Directors approved revisions to Policy 907 - School Visitors.  Key updates include;

 

Classroom Visitiations-

No visitors may confer with a teacher during homeroom period.  If visitors wish to meet with staff, the school secretary will schedule a conference time between the visitor and staff member.............

 

Parents/Guadiarns may request to visit their child's classroom or cafeteria during the child's breakfast or lunch period, but the request must be made prior to the visit, in accordance with established school protocol.

 

Parents/Guardians shall be limited to one (1) class period, breakfast or lunch period per month, per child in the school for classroom visitations, in order to minimize disruption of the classroom schedule and the educational program.  Parental participation in classroom activities or programs such as room parents, back-to-school events, and chaperones for field trips shall not constitute a classroom visit for purposes of this policy.....
